Cyber Security Awareness: What You Didn’t Know You Needed to Know
A discussion on the real-world threats organizations are facing, what tools organizations can use to protect and detect potential attacks, and whether individual training and awareness is worth the time and effort (and if so, what are the best ways to train employees).
Dawn Teply is currently a Security Analyst at St. Luke’s Healthcare System, where she has focused on cyber security education, IT governance and Risk Management, data loss prevention and incident response for the last three years.
She is a Certified Information System Auditor and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Information Systems from the great University of Idaho. Dawn was a member of the ISACA Boise Chapter Board for several years as President, Vice President, Treasurer, Audit & Nominations Chair, President again and Treasurer again. She has over 17 years of experience in internal audit focusing on IT and corporate audits, SOX compliance, and risk management; corporate accounting; and cyber security.
Dawn is an avid runner and a dad-joke connoisseur who must have been a professional foosball player in a previous life. As a mother of four humans and two hairy dachshunds, Dawn is always on the run, even when she’s not training for her next race, yet she still manages to find time for volunteering and educating others on Cyber Security.
